Code Sprinters uses Scrum for its own day-to-day operations and we came to appreciate its simplicity and effectiveness. Clients and partners have noticed this as well. That's why we offer Certified Scrum Master training in Cracow, Poland.

As soon as it is known it will be placed here and the news about it will be posted in our News section. Therefore we encourage to subscribe to Code Sprinters RSS feed. All details concerning the training are below.

THE TRAINING

Now in its third consecutive year, this training program prepares you for the role of Scrum Master, guardian and facilitator of the Scrum process. The Scrum Master is not a boss or a drill sergeant. He is more like a coach, helping the team to be productive. To achieve this, the Scrum Master applies the simple principles of Scrum and facilitates each of the meetings and interactions that Scrum requires.

During the training you will learn:

  • why Scrum works the way it does - or why an iterative, incremental approach works so well for software projects,
  • how to use Scrum artifacts - Product Backlog, Sprint Backlog, Burndown Chart,
  • Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, Sprint Retrospectives and Daily Scrum,
  • how to plan and estimate work,
  • how to lead and coach a self-organizing, adaptive project team,
  • how to communicate with your supervisor, clients and teammates.

Most importantly, you will have the opportunity to contribute during practical exercises with other participants. You will build a backlog, prioritize it, and put theory into practice.

Upon successful completion of your training, you will become a Certified Scrum Master (CSM) and you will be awarded membership in the Scrum Alliance (membership fee is included in the course fee). Furthermore, CSM training at Code Sprinters gives you 16 PDU units towards your PMI certificate extension. Ask us for details.

Note: the language of the course and materials is English. No translation will be provided.

This year will be one of the last opportunities to earn your CSM certification under the current Scrum Alliance regimen. Some time in the near future, impending changes will require standardized testing in addition to the CSM training program.

Last training was led by Nigel Baker of the UK.
