What is it?

Amazon Web Services revolutionize the way web applications are hosted and deployed, and we are here to help you get all the benefit from it.

Elastic Computing Cloud (EC2 for short) is a modern hosting service allowing users to bring up virtual servers in a matter of minutes. Any Internet service or web application can be hosted there as long as it can be remotely administered. To handle increasing load you can scale your application horizontally, adding servers on the fly. Simple Storage Service (S3) is another service, that allows you to store huge amounts of data reliably, not having to worry about disk usage and backup. Recently Amazon has released the SimpleDB service, providing a substitute for a relational database.

Key advantage is the flexibility those services offer and fair pricing — you pay only for the time when your virtual servers are up and only for the storage space you actually use.

Even with all those advantages Amazon's hosting services require an experienced system administrator to set up in a professional way necessary with production servers. That's why we offer our service packages to help you be up & running with your system quickly.

Our packages

We offer two packages, but no matter which package you choose — or even if you don't choose one — we can develop your application so that it will use S3 storage and will be designed for scalability across multiple machines.

Basic package

The basic package includes:

• assistance in creating the Amazon Web Services account & access keys
• preparing an initial image of a single server, with all the necessary tools
• initial deployment of the application & subsequent updates after every release of your application

Advanced package

The advanced package includes all the services of the basic package plus:

• assistance in setting up an account on RightScale (a web-based interface to Amazon Web Services)
• preparation of a separate application and database server images
• implementation of a load-balancing solution to provide redundancy and divide the load between instances
• initial training of a person designated by the client (provided remotely)
