Jobs
We always look for talented people willing to become members of our team. Our sprinters are expected to be generalized specialists with a wide range of interests coupled with ability to quickly dig into a particular matter if needed.
We don't ask trick questions nor test your knowledge of cryptic three-letter IT acronyms. We don't segregate developers to fit predefined roles (like front-end, back-end or database expert), as we trust that the natural team dynamics will work it out better.
Skills we expect
The general skills we expect are:
- fine grasp of standards and technologies involved in web application development,
- experience with dynamic programming languages (especially Python, Ruby and/or PHP5),
- understanding of frameworks and libraries used in web application development,
- object-oriented design and programming skills, knowledge of design patterns is welcome,
- familiarity with relational database model, basic experience with SQL,
- ability to create simple but meaningful UML diagrams,
- interest in agile software development methodologies (like Scrum and/or XP) is desired,
- interest in Open Source movement is an advantage,
- analytical skills, creativity, ability to address problems both as part of a team and individually,
- fluent English or at least good reading comprehension skills.
Don't get discouraged if you miss some of the skills listed - open, eager mind and willingness to learn new things can substitute for some of the items above. Moreover don't be afraid if you don't have an extensive work experience nor formal recognition of your achievements. We look for people, not certificates.
How to apply
Please contact us at jobs@codesprinters.com if you find our offer interesting. Living in Cracow, Poland (or willing to) will be an advantage, but in some cases we are open to discuss telecommute. Students are also welcome.
