Banana Scrum - a web based Scrum tool

Banana Scrum is a web based tool for teams practicing agile development, primarily Scrum. It is meant to replace project walls, index cards and other paraphernalia of the paper age long gone. A result of our own experience as outsource software developers it is ideal for collaboration with outside product owners and dispersed teams.

Features include:

• project backlog with tagging and intuitive sorting through drag and drop,
• sprint backlog with tasks and sprint burndown,
• different roles including Product Owner,
• easy to use, intuitive user interface,
• separate accounts with multiple projects and users.

The application is hosted by us, so you don't have to worry about setup, hosting or anything like it. Within your own account you can create projects, add users and get going with the work to be done.

Simple FAQ

How can I post my comments and interact with other users?

We've just opened a forum where you can post your comments, remarks and suggestions as well as see what others had to say and what we responded.

Why this silly name?

Remember the Agile Manifesto? "Individuals and interactions over processes and tools". This is just a tool, nice and useful but just a tool. Let's not get too pompous about it.

How much does it cost?

For now it is free and in some basic form (for individuals, small teams and open source projects) it always will.

Won't you peek into my projects?

No. Unless you tell us to to sort out a bug or we get some legally backed order to peek (not likely, unless you are an Al Kaida development team working in short sprints on encryption software).

How safe is my data?

The server is backed up, so should it go down in flames we can bring your data back quickly. This is, however, not very likely as we keep it in a professional hosting facility. It is probably therefore safer than most of your computers.

An import/export feature is on our backlog to enable you to create a local copy of your backlog, sprints etc. Moving the whole traffic to your accounts under SSL is on our backlog too and should be done pretty soon.

Sure, we are an outsourced software development company and that is what we do. Banana is a Ruby on Rails application, though we also do PHP and Python.
