Scrum in Depth

Code Sprinters - the leading provider of Scrum training & coaching in Poland - was proud to organize the first ever Scrum in Depth course in Poland, led by Ken Schwaber himself. This training did happen in May 2010 in Warsaw.

Next Scrum in Depth - Professional Scrum Master training will be led by our Scrum Trainer Andy Brandt in Polish on October 21-22nd 2010 in Cracow, Poland. This will be the first ever official Scrum training to be delivered in Polish.

Currently no public Scrum in Depth training in English is planned, but you can contact us regarding a closed training for your organization.

The training

Scrum in Depth is the first significant update of the Certified Scrum Master program since Ken Schwaber first introduced it in 2002. Building on Ken's experience (also from his numerous coaching engagements in those 8 years) and feedback from Scrum Masters world-wide this unique training experience is fine tuned to give participants a solid grounding in Scrum and its core principles, from which they can make opportunistic decisions about how to use it best. Students learn why certain decisions are better than others, and why some support Agility while others ultimately lead back to waterfall. They also learn how to use Scrum productivity metrics to monitor the results of their decisions and how to optimize those results.

Prerequisites

Beacause this is a more advanced training than the previous editions to participate students have to:

  • Read one of the Scrum books (see below).
  • Study the Scrum Guide available on www.scrum.org.
  • Understand the basics of project management.
  • Understand requirements and requirements decomposition.
  • Have been on or closely involved with a project that builds or enhances a product.
  • Have a true dedication to know more about how Scrum works, how to use it, and how to implement it in an organization.
  • Take the free assessment of your Scrum knowledge provided by Scrum.org by following this link. Do this before the training, but after reading at least the Scrum Guide.
