Scrum in Depth - CSM II

Code Sprinters - the leading provider of Scrum training & coaching in Poland - invites you to the first ever Scrum in Depth course in Poland, led by Ken Schwaber himself. This unique training will take place in Warsaw on 13-14 of May, 2010.

The training

Scrum in Depth - also known as Certified Scrum Master II - is the first significant update of the Certified Scrum Master program since Ken Schwaber first introduced it in 2002. Building on Ken's experience (also from his numerous coaching engagements in those 8 years) and feedback from Scrum Masters world-wide this unique training experience is fine tuned to give participants a solid grounding in Scrum and its core principles, from which they can make opportunistic decisions about how to use it best. Students learn why certain decisions are better than others, and why some support Agility while others ultimately lead back to waterfall. They will also learn how to use Scrum productivity metrics to monitor the results of their decisions and how to optimize those results.

Prerequisites

This being a more advanced training than the standard CSM to participate you have to:

  • Read one of the Scrum books (see below).
  • Study the Scrum Guide available on www.scrum.org.
  • Understand the basics of project management.
  • Understand requirements and requirements decomposition.
  • Have been on or closely involved with a project that builds or enhances a product.
  • Have a true dedication to know more about how Scrum works, how to use it, and how to implement it in an organization.
  • Take the free assessment of your Scrum knowledge provided by Scrum.org by following this link. Do this before the training, but after reading at least the Scrum Guide.

Suggested reading list:

Note: the language of the course and materials is English. No translation will be provided. We feel any form of translation during the course will decrease training's value by impeding communication between the trainer and the participants. Therefore decent level of spoken English is required to participate.

The Trainer

Ken Schwaber is the very guy who (together with Jeff Sutherland) created Scrum - the revolutionary, simple method for successful delivery of outstanding software products that took our industry by storm. He is a well known trainer and coach, a widely recognized authority on software development, teams and productivity. Original creator of the Certified Scrum Master courses (now taught worldwide by dozens of trainers, most of whom Ken hand-picked and coached) continues to work on perfecting methods and practices that help teams reach new heights of productivity and product quality.

Training dates and location

The Scrum in Depth - CSM II course - first in Poland - will take place in Warsaw on May 13-14 2010 (Thursday, Friday). We selected Poland's capital because of its central location and communication links with other major cities in Poland as well as air and rail links with the rest of EU.

Training will take place in a comfortable training room in the very center of Warsaw, within short walk from the Central Railway Station. Participants will be sent detailed information about training location (and available accommodation options) upon reserving their seats. Contact our Training Dept. for details.
